Modesto's in Baldham

Giuseppe and his team are just great. We have been regulars for years and have a close relationship with this restaurant. The wine, food and service are just great! The changing day menu should of course not be left unmentioned. Super!!

We ate great, everything was great!

Regular Italians of our choir: uncomplicated, friendly, familiar and very good food. Pizza, pasta, starters, dessert ... all fresh and very good. Even remember the favorite drinks and foods of the guests.

Super delicious food, friendly service and we got garlic oil with our pizzas and at the end even a limoncello without being asked! 5 ***** +! Even at 11:30 p.m. there were only us and one other table in attendance and they didn't kick us out. It was a really great evening! Many Thanks!

Great service and delicious food

We have known the place for a few years and when we are in Baldham we occasionally go to eat there. Some complained here about the street noise, but not for a worse rating because this is not objective. We were eating there today on September 22nd, 2020 because we wanted to relax and have something to eat because we still had an appointment in the city center in the evening and this would be just too stressful. Today at Modesto's we had 2 x spritzers, 2 x mixed salads and 2 x tagliatelle with Steinplizen, without the meat that was included in the menu. In addition 1x espresso and 1x tiramisu and paid 58 € !! We noticed the following or have complained. The salad Inselatat was completely seasoned with vinegar and therefore very sour, good that you had oil and white bread so you could at least eat the salad. Some lettuce hearts had brown leaf spots and a bitter note from rukula, chicory and radichio, which was enhanced by the vinegar. The Tagliatelle with Steinplize were still written out with Caprese Tuscany, since we are vegetarians we did not order the Caprese! The portion was well arranged, a little heap of pasta with little spice, little porcini mushrooms, the sauce was quite ready. The plates on which the tagliatelle were served were cold! A NoGo in gastro, after a few minutes the tagliatelle and mushrooms on the plate were cold and the sauces were just sappy! The tiramisu was OK, but not exactly the burner. Warm on the outside, cold in the core. Probably warmed up or warmed up a little. In addition, three loveless cream cakes from the ready-made can on the plate. What was really the highlight is the espresso, super crema, really dense and soft and frothy. Perfectly set machine and very good type of coffee as it was not sour or bitter. Very little choice for vegatians, no choice for vegans. Next time we drive e100 meters further, there you have a better choice. If you like pizza, we had it several times where we used to be. Otherwise it is better to drive into Baldham. Service is okay, sometimes something that we have experienced with us and at the next tables is misplaced. Wine spritzer instead of wine, forget the cooler. Or salt / pepper oil and vinegar at these prices you would expect better service

What a cheek. I am really angry. Ordered food to take away. Two noodles and a salad for 25 euros. Noodles were without sauce. Even a toddler would not have been satisfied with the portions. But 6 slices of bread, as you know, stuffs. We will NOT let them fool us again. But hey, everything wasn't bad either. The waiter was very nice.

Despite having reserved a table, we were "parked" in the garden. Food was very tasty with good value for money. The service sometimes didn't understand us.

The best pizzas in the area! At rush hour you can be unlucky and wait a little longer but always friendly and nice.

Food is ok, the service (based on telephone order for collection) relatively rude for the second time. The first order a few months ago was completely forgotten. Then I had to wait 15 minutes, as an excuse I wasn't even offered something to drink. With the second orders, the pizza was only lukewarm and the pasta dish was wrong, despite the correct bill

Very nice staff, very good food! If you are really hungry, order starters and desserts! ☺️

We were invited to a birthday party and were able to enjoy the entire kitchen. Appetizers were very good and well prepared. The two main courses were also very tasty. Dessert bene. The pizzas are prepared in a wood oven. Have been picked up a lot. Go there and try it out.

This Italian was a recommendation from well-known! Sunday lunch locally full and fully booked but we were served quickly, extremely courteous and friendly the food was really really 🤗👍 delicious. Conclusion everything was fine and we would love to come back.

Really really good food. I can say that here I ate the best pizza yet. The stuff is also very polite and they are open minded, they make jokes with you and they always ask you if your meal was OK or if you need anything more... No wonder so many people want to go there!

Well, it's ok. Nothing extraordinary... But I only ate pizza so I can't judge the whole menu. Was there in the evening and the place was very busy and kind of overwhelmed by the orders.
